There are several different categories, from international to regional analysis. The prize is realised in collaboration with the U.I.A. (International Union of Architects) and the C.N.A.P.P.C. ( Italian Council of Architects, Planners, Landscapers, Conservationists) and in conformity with UNESCO regulations (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) with the aim of encouraging designers and constructers to value quality when making design and construction choices.
The prize aims to:
- promote the quality of contemporary architecture projects in relation to the territory, with the aim of
stimulating debate in order to compare international architecture with local architecture;
- encourage citizens to take an interest in architecture by considering it as part of their collective
cultural heritage;
- recognise the role of the project and its construction through its protagonists.
